Earlier this week, I shared some of our favorite toys and games.  Today, I'm sharing things my husband and I are thinking about getting C for Christmas.  We haven't decided which of these items we will be purchasing yet, but I think any of these would make excellent gifts for kids 5-7!

1. LeapPad2 by LeapFrog - I love LeapFrog products, everything from them is so well made and C always enjoys their games and videos.

2. Melissa and Doug Bead Kit - C got some cheap little bead jewelry kits for her birthday.  She was really excited about them but the beads didn't always fit on the provided string.  They also had tiny holes which was a little hard for her.  She has been asking for a better, easier to use bead kit.  The Melissa and Doug ones look great!  Nice wooden beads with large holes so they are easier to string.

3. Marble Run - C loves marbles.  I have been wanting to get one of these for awhile, but I always decide on something else.  Usually whatever I pick is related to something she is really into at the time (last year it was Brave) and the item is quickly boring.  I think she would really enjoy a marble maze and it would be something she would enjoy for a long time.  This may be the year I finally get her one!

4. Indoor Trampoline - I think an indoor trampoline is an excellent way to burn off energy when the weather isn't great!  I have been wanting to get C one for a couple of years now.

5. Drum - While my ears probably wouldn't appreciate it, C would be thrilled!  She loves music and is always turning bins and baskets into drums to play along to The Lion King sound track.  A drum for Christmas would make C so happy!

6. Breyer Horses - These beautiful sets always catch C's eye at the store.  She loves animals!

7. Schleich Animals - These realistic animals catch C's eye as well.  She gets so excited to see her favorite animals in toy form.  I haven't bought any yet because they are kind of expensive but I am thinking of getting her some of the animals she doesn't already have from other sets.  They are gorgeous and look very well made!

8.Honeybee Gardens Nail Polish - C loves to get her nails painted but I don't like to use conventional nail polish because it has many nasty chemicals.  Honeybee Gardens nail polish has a very good rating on the Skin Deep Database, The Skin Deep Database rates skin care products and gives them a score depending on how many dangerous chemicals they contain.

9. Razor A Kick Scooter - C has a little scooter but she is getting too big for it.  This Razor scooter looks awesome!

10. Insect Lore Live Butterfly Pavilion - This looks like so much fun! Another item I have wanted to purchase for quite awhile.

What are you thinking about getting your kids this year?  Thanks so much for visiting Joy Focused Learning!
