Disclosure: I received media passes for my family for this visit to the Creation Museum. All views and opinions in this post are my own and are solely based on our impression of the Creation Museum.
My husband and I were married on Pi Day (3.14) and to celebrate we loaded up the car for a weekend of family fun. It may not have been the most romantic but it may have been the most fun anniversary to date. Our first stop was the Creation Museum in Northern Kentucky. It was amazing! We haven’t been there in a couple of years and it was such a treat to visit again. There are a lot of photos in this post so it may need a few extra moments to load. :) At the bottom of this post you will find free printables to go along with your trip to the Creation Museum.

There were a few exhibits that were really fascinating to my husband and I but C didn't have the attention span for us to sit and read all the information provided. She did enjoy each of these exhibits they just didn't hold her attention as long as they held ours. This included the The Starting Points, Biblical Authority and Biblical Relevance exhibits.
At the Creation Museum, all tickets are valid for two consecutive days. I highly recommend you take advantage of that if possible. We spent almost the entire day there and wished we had more time! There are so many amazing things to see and do:
The Garden of Eden
Noah's Ark Construction Site
In The Voyage of the Ark, you can ask Noah the questions you've always wondered about the ark. He really answers, provided you use the touch screen and ask the pre-loaded questions. ;)
Do not miss the Dino-Mite Readers story time. It was a blast!
I think everyone's favorite indoor exhibit was the Dinosaur Den!
The petting zoo is really cool. It features both a Zonkey and a Zorse.
The walk through the gardens to the petting zoo is just as enjoyable as the zoo itself. One of my very favorite features of the Creation Museum is that it is simple a stunning site to see! You can really tell that there was a lot of thought and hard work that went into the design of the entire facility. I think I could spend an entire day just enjoying the outdoor portion of the museum. There are fun bridges, small water falls and gorgeous foliage.
Be sure to check the little pamphlet they give you when you enter to see what special speakers and events they have going on that day. The day we went they happened to offer a Buddy Davis concert which was such a treat!
I wish I could give more details about everything we loved about our visit to the Creation Museum but this post would never end. If you have the opportunity to go, take it!
General Admission for adults is $29.95, kids are usually $15.95 but if you go this year(2014) kids get in free with a paying adult! This is an incredible bargain! My husband and I are both pretty frugal but we agreed the Creation Museum is well worth the cost of admission. You can have a fabulous day (or two - each ticket includes two consecutive days) without purchasing any extras. If you are interested though, they do offer some pretty awesome extras:
- Stargazer's Planetarium
- Camel Rides (Be sure to check the times and availability for the day of your visit.)
- Zip Lines!
- The store offers wonderful resources for homeschoolers including curriculum, books and the Answers magazine!

I made up a few free notebooking printables for C to use on our visit. I think she would have enjoyed them more if I remembered to bring her clipboard. This three page pack includes:

- A page to draw and write important things you want to remember
- A page to draw dinosaurs you see in the museum
- A page with 4 writing prompts for when you get home to the museum.
Your child may want to use more than one copy of the first two pages. Print as many as you think they will use.
