I loved this post from Aspired Living: Looking Back Advice to New Homeschooling Mamas. I wish I would have known these things from the beginning!
What is the best way to teach your child to read? This post from What's up Fagans? is very interesting. If you have little ones I suggest reading her post. She shares why she isn't so sure about current methods of teaching reading. Some of you may know from other posts that C is an avid reader. We used The Reading lesson, a simple phonics based approach and it worked great for her. As I type this post she has her stack of library books and is reading away. Still though, I think Katelyn brings up some valid points.
Too often we focus on our spouse's flaws and how we'd like them to change. I loved this post from The 'Blish: God, please give my husband a new wife!
