5 Reasons I Love Education.com
1. Free worksheets:
Education.com has a ton of free worksheets from preschool all the way through high school! I love how fun and engaging the worksheets are, they are always a hit with C. They have printable worksheets for just about every subject/topic!2. Free Activity Ideas:
If I am looking for ideas for a specific theme, like animals or ideas for the current season, I'll search Education.com's activity database. I always find great ideas!
3. Helpful Articles:
As a homeschooling parent, I am always concerned about where my daughter stands compared to other kids her age. Education.com has several articles covering what kids should be learning at certain grade levels. While I know that one of the beauties of homeschool is that my child can learn at her own pace, it is still nice to see where she is compared to the standards she would be held to in public school.
Their articles cover more than just that though, on their website you can also find advice about important topics like bullying and social development. I love that the articles are sorted by grade and topic so I can easily find what I am looking for!
4. Affordable Workbooks:
Our family is on a seriously tight budget this year. So tight, in fact, that we actually tried a virtual school this year. It was a huge disappointment, you can read more about that experience here. Thankfully, Education.com has very affordable workbooks ($4.99 each!) for preschool through 5th grade. If while looking through the workbook selection you find several that you want to use (like me) you can subscribe to be a Plus member for only $3.99/month. As a plus member, you get unlimited workbooks!
5. Brainzy:
Brainzy is a super fun program for early readers. Kids can play fun, educational games in a safe, ad-free environment. The annual plan works out to $1.99/month or you can choose the monthly plan for $4.99/mo. Three kids can have access with one subscription. Right now, Brainzy is geared toward K-1st graders, but they have plans to expand the program later. Education.com offers a 7 day money back guarantee. If you subscribe to Brainzy and don't like it, you can cancel your subscription (within 7 days) and get your money back!
Thanks so much for visiting Joy Focused Learning!
I hope you will find Education.com to be as useful for your family as it is for mine! What are your favorite education websites?
